The MantaManta is a versatile surfboard designed for small to medium-sized ocean waves and slower river waves. Developed in collaboration with the Surftalk crew, this shape is built for surfers who want to get maximum speed, flow, and performance out of smaller, softer, and less powerful waves.

Its balanced volume distribution supports easy paddling and early glide while helping the board generate and maintain speed when the wave does not provide much power. At the same time, the MantaManta remains agile and responsive, allowing for quick direction changes and controlled turns.

In the ocean, the MantaManta feels particularly at home in small to medium-sized beach breaks and typical summer waves. Its versatile shape also performs exceptionally well on slower river waves, where glide and the ability to generate speed independently are essential.

Thanks to its balanced combination of volume, speed, and manoeuvrability, the MantaManta is also a strong option for heavier surfers looking for an agile board with enough float and speed in smaller or slower conditions.

We started testing many different materials. At first we tried stiff and hard materials like carbon, which served their purpose up to a point, but made the board super stiff and changed the flex of the board. After countless tests, we found the right material. The HD rails are specially designed with a polypropylene fiber reinforced rail that prevents dents from occurring. With this rail technology, the board lasts up to three times longer than a board without. Perfect for surfing river waves that are surrounded by concrete or rocks, and even more so when traveling with careless airlines.

Initially, we just used a high-density foam that worked well, but over the years we learned to reinforce, resulting in today's "FixPlug". A high density foam in the right areas, paired with fiberglass. The use of FCS II plugs gives us the advantage of using FCS Dual Tap fins as well as FCS II fins for higher performance. FCS II plugs are supplied without adapter screws. Perfect for surfing flat reef breaks and river waves with spoiler technique, or with lots of rocks in the area. We only use original FCS plugs for all our boards.
